You need JavaScript enabled to view it Phone: 01684 573728 A brief spell in hospital and convalescence has meant that I have only seen one game in the last month, so the more observant among you will note a reliance on the Club Website for information. Thanks to Roger Braddick as always for an interesting informative and extremely professionally laid out web site, which I commend to anyone interested in the Club’s progress.  www.malvernrfc.co.uk will find it.Today we are pleased to welcome the players, committee and supporters of Stratford on Avon RFC. New to the League this year we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Stratford earlier in the season.Last week’s results were a little disappointing with the 1st XV, 2nd XV and Malvern Angels and the Vets all narrowly losing.  The only winning team being the Under 12s who beat Bromyard  21 -14.Together with the usual dozen or so regular away supporters I went to Walsall where having camped in their own half for most of the first half against a strong wind our boys rallied in the second half to lose narrowly by 21 points to 19. This means we still stay top of the league by 3 points, but with four games to play it looks like a tight finish at the end of the season with Walsall and Hereford hard on our heels. This was the last game for Ted Lang who is now travelling the world, but his Dad still promises to support the Club and keep up the Guinness sales.Congratulations to Gareth Richards for recruiting a Vets team to play Longleven. The home team included a number who played in the Pilkington Shield at Twickenham just over 10 years ago and despite losing to a strong team the game was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.  Let’s hope this is one of many Vets games in the future. Many of the team have promised to come to the Old Players Lunch on the 12th April and we are expecting a good turn out.Ern's recruitment drive for new players continues and today we welcome George Crook who has played for Worcester Academy and England under 18s.Shaun Lancett was missing last week, with good reason, as Shaun and Julia now have a baby girl, Darcy, born on the 29th February  - congratulations to you both. One of our fund raising efforts which could do with more support is the 75 Club. It cost £10 a month. Half of the receipts are used for prize money and half supports the Club. The more members of the 75 club the bigger the prizes and greater support for the Rugby Club  Please contact Tony Brook if you are at all interested and get more informationWith many thanks for supporting the Club Club Colours: Claret And Blue |
